Latest app to inspect spread of Covid-19 in Pune

A cellphone application, Covid Kavach, has been created under the aegis of the Ayush service and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to screen and limit the spread of the virus in the city.

The primary target of the application is to follow the examination members for Covid-19 manifestations or symptoms of medications, assuming any, day by day.

Place for Rheumatic Diseases (CRD), Pune, chief Arvind Chopra and his group, who conceptualized the application, stated, “It can be used for surveillance of Covid-19 symptomatic people, leading to early diagnosis and any necessary treatment…The participant will be identified only by a unique code and no other personal details will be captured by the programme.”

Dimakh Sahasrabuddhe, director and CEO of Dimakh Consultants and Associates, stated, “We have now entered the Phase II trial of the app, where the predictive analysis will be conducted with the help of machine learning and artificial intelligence to trigger alerts.”
