Govt’s online edu forum by Google to begin after Diwali

The state government, toward the beginning of August, had tied up with Google to report a unified stage for school training, making Maharashtra the principal state to dispatch the Google Classroom activity.

Under this game plan, GSuite for Education, and different instruments would be made accessible for 2.30 crore understudies and educators over the state.

Two months down the line, 23,000 instructors have been prepared by Google and the whole cycle should be finished in another and a half months.

“About 23,000 teachers from 26 districts in the state have been trained till now. The training is given by authorities from Google. They train the teachers in various aspects of online teaching such as how to create online content, or how best to use the technology available for wider reach etc. Once all the training is completed, we are hoping that the initiative would start for students post-Diwali,” Dinkar Patil, director of Maharashtra State Council of Education Research and Training, said.

Patil included, “In the first phase, 40,000 teachers from all the districts in the state need to be trained and the remaining teachers will be trained in another 10 days. Once their training is complete, the second stage will see districtwise training where these master trainers will train the remaining teachers. We are finalising a time-table for the same so that it can be rolled out for students as soon as possible,” Patil included.

The stage will have the option to furnish the state with a focal checking framework to follow its online instruction activity, which depended on instructor tributes, and other simple methods as of recently.
