Least temperature to hover around 15°C in Pune for next few days: IMD

The city will keep on encountering cooler evenings as the base temperature is probably going to drift somewhere in the range of 15°C and 17°C for the following barely any days, the met office said.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) authorities said the base temperature is probably going to drop insignificantly underneath the ordinary in the coming days. The temperature on Saturday had boiled down to 15.2°C, which was 1.2 degrees beneath the ordinary.

On Sunday, the climate condition generally stayed bright with a whiff of cool air. The Shivajinagar and Lohegaon observatories recorded least temperature of 17.1°C and 18.5°C separately.

“Presently, the sky condition is clear and therefore, some cold wind blowing from North India is influencing the local weather conditions in all parts of the state, including Madhya Maharashtra,” a senior IMD official said.

All climate stations in the Vidarbha locale recorded underneath typical least temperature on Sunday. Chandrapur turned into the coldest city in the state on Sunday, with the area recording least temperature of 14.2°C.

The met division authorities added that the two cyclonic flows close the beach front Saurashtra, North Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra will have restricted impact on the climate condition.
