The Maharashtra state sports college declared to be prepared to open in the 2021-22 scholastic year on Thursday, will begin with three subjects at first and select close to 50 understudies.
State sports magistrate Omprakash Bakoria, talking on Friday, stated, “We will first start three courses, sports technology, sports medicine and sports training, and will enroll 50 students for the same. We will prepare a proposal for the vice- chancellor’s post. The state government will hire the vice-chancellor and after that, national and international experts will be hired for setting the agenda in a phased manner.”
Maharashtra’s first games college will be set up at Balewadi in Pune. The college will be a one-of-its-sort and means to be viewed as a focal point of sports greatness in the nation.
The state government has chosen to overhaul the current games complex at Balewadi and an extraordinary budgetary distribution of Rs 500 crore has been made for the reason. An aggregate of 213 posts have been authorized for the new college
