Fuel costs in Pune shot up on Saturday to record high and crossed Rs 100 for every liter, with the cost of premium petrol clocking Rs 100.31 per liter.
Thy cost of a liter of premium fuel, named Power, for Saturday rested at Rs 100.31 against Rs 99.93 on Friday, affirmed Ali Daruwalla, the national spokesperson of the All India Petrol Dealers Association.
“We don’t know for now when the prices will stop rising or become stable. It is with the state government to reduce the taxes. This is for the very first time that premium fuel in Pune has crossed the Rs 100-mark,” Daruwalla said.
With the costs of premium petroleum rising constantly, petroleum vendors had prior said that numerous customary clients settling on premium petroleum have changed to normal quality petroleum.
The costs of the ordinary quality petroleum and diesel likewise saw a hop on Saturday.
The cost of a liter of petroleum in the Pune city remained at Rs 96.62 against Rs 95.95 on Friday. Additionally, the cost of a liter of diesel in the Pune city remained at Rs 86.36 against Rs 85.98 on Friday, Daruwalla said.
