Moving Mountains Recovery | Drug & Alcohol Rehab Adventure Therapy Program is Officially Licensed by the State of New Jersey and Set to Open

Randolph, NJ – Moving Mountains Recovery | Drug & Alcohol Rehab is an adventure therapy program focused on providing a unique experience to addicts and alcoholics around the country who are looking for a different approach to substance abuse treatment than the traditional clinical or hospital-based setting.

“Our goal is to do just that; to guide our clients toward discovering something that gives them purpose. Nestled in the quiet serenity of Randolph, New Jersey, our innovative Alcoholism treatment program helps individuals find the motivation necessary to persevere through challenging situations-we want to help people find what sets their soul on fire,” said Alexander Chesher, Co-founder at Moving Mountains.

Moving Mountains Recovery | Drug & Alcohol Rehab takes pride in having a proven and effective process for addressing addiction. Their highly trained treatment specialists offer personalized treatment and care that begins when a client walks through the door. Moving Mountains is a partial care/intensive outpatient program so clients will need to detox before admitting, and Moving Mountains helps orchestrate that process with all clients looking to admit so that they’re able to be safely and comfortably detoxed prior to admission.

The partial care program at Moving Mountains Recovery will be where clients are first introduced to both Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Adventure Therapy. The EFT program was developed and implemented by Carlee Macinkowski, the clinical director at Moving Mountains with over 10 years of experience in the field. EFT focuses on attachment styles and every client’s treatment outline is tailored around their specific attachment style. After spending the day working with the clinical team, the clients will have the opportunity to participate in evening adventure activities that include, rock climbing, hiking, white water rafting, ropes courses, and more. Clients will process their adventure experience with the clinical team following each activity. Adventure therapy benefits clients by decreasing anxiety and depression symptoms, increasing self-efficacy, improving executive functioning, improving interpersonal skills, identity development, and more.
