GLP Lawyers International, the law firm parent that acquired Fremantle Health Foods in January 2022 is set to demerge its subsidiary Black Swan Food Industries Pty Ltd from its cafe business and premises in South Fremantle, which the business has tenanted for the last 18 years since its inception under the previous owner.
The mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team from the firm led by Nigel Lo, Milan Pesic and Jake Leighton will manage the relocation of the business to its new corporate headquarters on St Georges Terrace. The firm has also announced plans to implement a digital transformation strategy which involves enhancing the health store’s capability to sell its newly released homebrand products to customers nationwide through the establishment of new supply and distribution channels state by state, starting with Western Australia.
In a press release statement issued by the firm yesterday, the firm stated that, “the relocation from South Fremantle to its new corporate headquarters marks the dawn of a new era for the 18 year old business”.
“When the opportunity to acquire this business was presented to us just 6 months ago, it took less than 48 hours to seal the deal, with the previous owner exiting the business to begin his well deserved retirement. Now almost 6 months since we acquired the business, our team has implemented the required turnaround plan to now digitalise the business completely which will inevitably result in a much greater reach. With the sustained boom in the consumption of health products, an ever increasingly health conscious public and a ever growing range of product lines, we fully intend to capitalise on this trend”.
Fremantle Health Foods has since the beginning of May released three versions of its homebrand performance enhancers ranging from its NAC supplement tablets sold in bottles of 120 capsules, whey protein isolate sold in 1kg pouches and its highly anticipated non-stimulant pre-work powder.
